Between Taylor Swift and Brad Paisley, they were dubbed Princess and King of the 2009 CMT Awards on June 16. Swift won the Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year. She also sang with Def Leppard, belting out "Pour Some Sugar on Me". Her date was her little brother. Awww, so sweet... She thanked Shania Twain for her theatrical videos and Garth Brooks for always putting his fans first. She says she takes cues from them. Good going girl.....
Brad Paisley took home Male Video of the Year for 'Waitin' on a Woman,' CMT Performance of the Year for 'Country Boy' (with Alan Jackson, George Strait and Dierks Bentley) and Collaborative Video of the Year for 'Start a Band' with Keith Urban.
There were several awards being given to well earned performers. There were great guest appearances as well, like Kid Rock, Def Leppard, B52's, T-Pain. Kid Rock actually won an award for "all summer long" called Wide Open Country Videos award, good for him.... I like this song by the way...
Congratulations to all the winners of the awards last night, especially to Taylor Swift and Brad Paisley... great job and keep up the great music and videos....
