The National Sex Offender Registry has a website that has been available for several years, but may be a good time to check it soon for your neck of the woods. Michigan is releasing 3,000 sex offenders back into the communities and it would be wise to check your areas to make sure that if any are living in your area you can make your children aware of the fact. I don't know the facts about any other states releasing any sex offenders but, what the hey, just check out the site anyway, for your own piece of mind and possibly your child's safety.

Check it out, have your kids look at the pictures of the offenders so that if they happen to see them on the street, they can steer clear of them.
