Well it is the end of a long running late night saga with Jay Leno leaving after 17 yrs on the Tonight Show. He took over the show when Johnny Carson decided to leave.
He opened his "last" show with some pretty funny dialogues:
"When I started this show, my hair was black and the president was white...I was cleaning out my office today, and I found O.J.'s knife...Everybody asks me if I'm going on vacation. Yeah, I'm going to a secluded spot where nobody can find me: NBC prime time." Hehehehe.
He said he wanted his legacy to be the 68 children that was born to the employees behind the stage during the 17 yrs he was there. He brought all 68 kids on stage .
His last show was not flashy or unforgettable, just a classy ending.
His successor will be Conan O'brien. We'll see how that goes. For now, Good night everybody...
