Bea Arthur, "Golden Girl" dies at the age of 86

Golden Girl, Bea Arthur has passed away. She was 86 yrs young. Bea was a Tony and Emmy award winner. She played Dorothy, the daughter of Sophia and friends to Rose and Blanche. The show took place in a "retirement" community in Miami.
Bea was also known from the sitcoms of Maude and All in the Family. Before tv she was spotted on the stage in the famed broadway production of "Mame", playing the smart-mouthed Vera Charles, from which she won the Tony Award.
In 2008, Bea was the 18th woman inducted into the TV Academy's Hal of Fame. Bea had many talents and many different shows and guest appearances. She died peacefully at home with her family around. Bea had cancer. May she rest in peace and blessings and prayers go out to her family and friends. Bea Arthur is a "Golden Girl".
