Arbor Day 2009 is just around the bend. actually it is today..

Arbor Day 2009 is quickly approaching, like today. The day is dedicated to the act of planting trees. According to Arborday.org, Americans mark Arbor Day on the last Friday in April, and they celebrate it by encouraging folks to plant new trees and take good care of existing ones. Planting trees today will benefit generations yet to come. Today marks the 137th anniversary of Arbor Day.
Even if you don't have room in your yard for a tree you can have one planted in your honor or the name of a recipient that you would like to honor if you go to The Arbor Day Foundation.
History shows that when civic and national leaders make planting and caring for trees a high priority, it strengthens and adds value to the entire community.
There are many ways that you can get involved in the Arbor day activities. If you joingThe Arbor Day Foundation for $10, along with your membership, you will receive 10 free trees that can be planted in your yard or in a forest.
