Surprise guest Frankie Avalon strolls out singing Venus on American Idol tonight. Tonight was elimination night. Other guests included Kellie Pickler and Flo-Rida singing "Right Round." I cannot believe that they let Scott McIntyre go. He was one of the best in my eyes. I know alot of you didn't care for him, but he really sang with passion.
The Frankie Avalon thing had to do with Venus being released the year that Simon Cowell was born. So, they showed little clips in a video, while the song was playing (boring) then Frankie Avalon popped out singing Venus... Simon was thrilled... yeee hawwww...
Scott McIntyre sang "The Search Is Over" by Survivor. The judges hee hawwed about a decision whether to keep him on or let him go and finally Simon says "someone has to make the decision and it is no, you are going home". I was saddened as I mentioned before. Paula said in closing words that he was a gentleman and a talented singer and was a inspiration to the whole world. Great closing words on that...
