Adam Lambert Steals the spotlight for this week..

Adam Lambert
sings Mad World by Tears for Fears. So, here we are again. Another week has passed so I must give the recap of American Idol.... Apparently Adam Lambert got a standing ovation from the Simon man... good job Adam. He was the last of the remaining eight to sing tonight. The show was running over but Adam made sure that it was worth running over for. "no words were necessary" according to Simon, only a standing ovation. Mad World was recorded by Tears for Fears (great group, by the way) in 1985; the year Adam Lambert was born. The theme for American Idol tonight was "the year you were born". So the others were belting out Tina Turners and Cindy Lauper, Don Henley, Survivor, Bonnie Rait and others, it was Mad World that put the cherry on top for the night.
Adam Lambert sang Mad World sitting in the dark on a box, pitch-perfect and belting out the lyrics. Great job Adam on a song well sung...
