Paul Harvey Dead

Paul Harvey, legendary radio guest, dies at the age of 90.

For many Americans, Paul Harvey in the morning or at noon was a regular part of their daily routine. The Chicago based radio guest had a very recognizable voice and style that could not be confused with any other radio personality on the air now.

We have heard his voice since we were children. Mostly heard on National Public Radio stations throughout the United States. No matter how old we got, Paul Harvey's voice seemed to have never changed and the thought of him no longer being on the air seems surreal.

Using anecdotes, his "rest of the story" broadcasts held your attention no matter what generation you came from. He was legendary in his ability to go from the anecdote to a seamless sales pitch for a sponsor.

It was said that in 1985, the top 4 radio shows in the United States was his show in different time slots.

No immediate reason for death was given for Paul Harvey. He died surrounded by his family in his winter home. We will miss "the rest of the story" by Paul Harvey, and we will miss Paul too.
